This form is designed by a group of doctors to help you identify any issues you should discuss with your doctor before taking part in an activity.

A Shared Commitment to Respect and Well-Being for each and everyone
General Principles
1. The term “organization” refers to Vie Tai Ji, Tai Ji Life, WENDEN Taijiquan, and Maple Walk
Method — four branches of one shared community.
2. All members of the organization are kindly asked to uphold this code of ethics, as well as
the values outlined in the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
3. We respectfully acknowledge that our practice takes place on the traditional, unceded
territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
4. By joining our activities, members and guests show their support for these principles and
help create a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Teaching Objectives
5. Our goal is to o er tai chi instruction in an environment that is safe, respectful, inclusive,
and friendly, where everyone feels at ease and encouraged.
Administration
6. If any concerns or conflicts arise, the administration team and the instructors are
committed to responding promptly and thoughtfully to help find positive resolutions.
7. This code may be updated to reflect the evolving needs of our community.
Instructors
8. Instructors lead with humility, professionalism, and care, always demonstrating
techniques with calm and respect.
9. The instructors strive to meet members where they are—honouring each person’s unique
abilities and learning style.
10. If any behaviour goes against our shared values, the instructors will address it with
kindness and clarity.Students
11. We encourage students to arrive a little early so they can settle in and start class feeling
grounded and ready.
12. For everyone’s safety, it is forbidden to attend class under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
13. To support a positive learning environment, we kindly ask students to let instructors lead
corrections. If invited to assist, feel free to share—but otherwise, please refrain from
correcting fellow students.
14. We ask that students share feedback constructively and avoid public criticism of
instructors, fellow students, or the organization.
All Members and Guests
15. Members and guests treat one another with kindness, courtesy, and mutual respect—
always.
16. We celebrate diversity and we are committed to inclusion, tolerance, and thoughtful
communication.
17. To protect those with sensitivities, please avoid wearing or using scented products during
classes and events.
18. Physical contact during practice should always be respectful, consensual, appropriate,
and suited to each person’s comfort and skill level.
19. Any undesired or unsolicited sexual harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
20. Discrimination or harassment based on gender, ethnicity, skin colour, or any other
protected characteristic described by the ‘Quebec Charter of Rights and Freedoms’ is not
tolerated.
21. If you experience or witness unresolved conflict, please bring it to the attention of our
administration so we can support a resolution.
22. Violations to this code of ethics could result in appropriate consequences, including
possible termination of membership.
