Class Descriptions
Tai Chi for Beginners
You will learn up to 20 key movements based on Yang Style Tai Chi and combine them into a routine called “5-section taijiquan”.
This is a subset of the popular “Yang 24 short form” that is a great starting point and a solid foundation for continued learning. The goal is to give you an overview of the "choreography" and no need to memorize it to move on to the Level 1 class.
Tai Chi Level 1
You will deepen your understanding of Tai Chi movements through continued practice of the “5-section taijiquan” as learned in the previous courses.
Now that you have a sense of the “choreography” you can begin to apply fundamental Tai Chi principles to each movement to improve your ability to shift your weight, relax your shoulders, maintain your alignment and experience a more natural flow of movement.
We look forward to seeing you!
